My SwipeSimple Eclipse A200 card reader is not being detected

  1. Confirm that you have firmly plugged the card reader into your device.
  2. Verify that you are using the most update-to-date version of the SwipeSimple application.
    • On Android devices, open the Play Store.
    • On iOS devices, open the App Store. You must be running iOS v6 or a more recent version.
  3. Clear any lint and dust from the headphone jack.
  4. Uninstall and reinstall the application.
  5. Check your phone audio settings.

Configuring audio settings on an iOS device

  1. Check your microphone settings on your device as follows:
    1. On your device, select Settings.
    2. In Settings, select the SwipeSimple application.
    3. Select Privacy.
    4. Make sure that your microphone setting is On.
  2. Raise your device's volume to high.
  3. Restart the application.

Configuring audio settings on an Android device

  1. Check that audio is enabled as follows:
    1. On your device, select Settings
    2. In Settings, select Accessibility
    3. In the Hearing category, make sure that "turn off all sounds” is not selected.
