Can I use my Genius device to refund transactions when the customer is not present?

Yes. By default, your Genius device does not allow you to manually enter a customer’s card details when you refund a transaction. To turn on this function for your device, contact our Genius Support Team.

To refund a transaction when the customer is not present:

Step 1. Use your POS to refund the transaction.

Step 2. When Genius prompts for a card, use the Genius device to type the card details.

Note: You cannot use your Genius device to search for and display the details of the original transaction. You must manually enter the amount to refund to your customer’s card.
